This training is a one-day course designed to provide the skills and knowledge employees require to protect themselves in an environment where there is a hydrogen sulphide (H2S) hazard. The topics of instruction include the physical properties and health hazards of H2S, protection against the hazards present and basic rescue techniques. In addition, students will be required to operate a self-contained breathing apparatus (SCBA). Petroleum Industry Training Service (PITS) certification, which is valid for three years, will be granted upon successful completion of the course.
